Monteverdi's Madrigals of Love is one of the most beautiful "song cycles" ever composed. This collection, using the simplest of musical idioms captures all of the emotions of love: anguish, excitement, heartache, passion and so many more. The singers of Cantus Cölln led by Konrad Junghänel give inspired readings of these madrigals.
