This CD contains popular music from the Baroque as well as music from Mozart — "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik." Performed by the Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields with Iona Brown at the helm, the CD also includes such "standards" as the Pachelbel "Canon" and the Albinoni Adagio in G minor and Bach's "Air on a G-string." There are also two from Handel — the Largo "Ombra mai fu" and "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" as well as other famous works. The recording sound and balance is admirable.
